Just visited Apocalypse Barbecue with my hubby for the first time. We enjoyed our meal and the overall ambiance. The stars of the show for me were the pulled pork, the chocolate chip cookie, and the above and beyond service provided by Kat and Angel.

So let's get this out of the way first. The wait is incredibly long, about 1.5 hrs on a Saturday in the later afternoon portion of the day. While waiting they do give you a free beer if they have any in stock which was a nice touch for the wait time. When I was called in, the setup was relatively small, the kitchen was in the back center inside and all the tables were filled. The service was great as we had two different waiters as the first one had their shift come to an end. In viewing the menu this place offers a nice selection of signature cocktails which I didn't expect. When it came to the food, let's just say I understand why customers wait this long for their food. It was impeccable! On the site it states they "pay homage to our Miami, FL home by infusing it with a unique South American/Caribbean twist." It definitely showed up in their food as everything was bursting with flavor. Definitely one of the best cornbread I've ever had, everything that came out that bbq you cannot go wrong with. Everything was so good that when I do go back I feel confident in trying something else on the menu as everything I had previously was nothing short of fantastic!

Amazing local barbecue spot in Kendall. This place is always packed, we got here at 3pm on a Saturday and there was 40-50 minute wait. They give free beers and water while you wait, so not a big deal to wait a few. We got lucky and waited like 5 minutes instead. Angel was our server, he was excellent and gave us some great suggestions on what to order. Everything was delicious. My favorites include the pork belly bacon appetizer, the little piggies, Mac and cheese and the corn on the cob....soooo good! They do offer takeout but you have to go there to place your order, as they do not have phones. All in all an amazing dining experience and really good home style barbecue!

We waited for 1.5hrs, but it was totally worth it! They even offer beer and water while you wait on the house. We got wings, sandwiches, sides, dessert, drinks, the whole shabang! The service was fantastic and they seemed genuinely happy to be there. They bussed the tables well and got us extra sauce and gave great recs. The food was well priced for insane quality. What we thought would be the underdog became the MVP, aka the Brisket empanada. Best pisco sour I've ever had. Try all their sauces! It was messy but it was a damn good time. I get the hype now and so happy we came to check it out, especially on $1 wing wednesday we had no idea. You'll probably have leftovers if you are like us and wanna try everything on the menu The cookie went to the heart, it was baked perfectly and still soft inside. All the food was so fresh. Idk if I'll ever get over this experience.
